The Asian, Pacific Islands, Middle East, and Des i-based American Students (APIMEDA) provide programs and activities that focus on deepening dialogue and recognition of various issues that affect the community of Apimeda and Diaspola. I am doing it.

The APIMDA program provides programs and services to enrich students in TU in general, fostering deeper understanding and understanding of Apimeda culture. We play an important role in supporting TU in both the recruitment and establishment of students from such a variety of maternity.

History

Apimeda's Dia Spora is about 100 countries from North Africa to Asia, including the islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. This diverse and lively community includes a wide range of experiences and contributions. We aim to more comprehensively accept Middle Eastern Americans and DESI Americans by expanding the traditional affinity group of AAPI. We recognize and bless these ethnic and cultural diversity in the Apimeda community, and recognize many ways they are enhancing the vitality of the University of Tokyo.

Welcome APIMEDA

The Welcome Apimeda Event is a lon g-awaited event for young Apimeda students, returning students, and faculty and staff. It is a valuable place to nurture connections in the Apimeda community and raise awareness of fellow. Participants can enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including networking sessions, interactive games, music, and various dishes. This event not only celebrates the diversity and vitality of the Apimeda community, but also provides opportunities to share experiences, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships beyond learning. Apimeda's welcome events, such as conversations while eating together, and creating bonds while working hard, embodies the spirit of participation, cooperation, and affiliated spirit.

Welcome Jummah

Welcome Jumma brings together new and familiar faces from the Muslim community, including students, faculty, and staff. Beginning with a traditional lunch, participants chat and get to know each other. Afterwards, everyone gathers for Friday prayers and a time of spiritual reflection. The event helps new students integrate and helps returning members reunite. Through conversation, sharing food, and prayer, Welcome Jumma reflects the Foundation's values ​​of participation, hospitality, and unity.

APIMEDA Graduation Celebration

Apimeda Graduation Celebration is an annual event held to honor the achievements and celebrate the success of graduating seniors from Apimeda. This important event honors their hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout their academic journey. The event features authentic cuisine that reflects the diverse cultural backgrounds of the Apimeda community, providing an unforgettable food experience for all participants. The celebration also features speeches by distinguished guests, faculty, and student leaders who offer words of wisdom, encouragement, and reflection. Through this event, we not only honor the academic achievements of our graduates, but also celebrate the rich cultural heritage and collective spirit that characterizes the Apimeda community.

Asian Studies Minor

The Asian Studies minor is for students who major in different fields but who have a curiosity about Asian countries and their cultures. It complements your major by providing an opportunity to be informed about various aspects of Asian history, society, and traditions.

Asian Arts and Culture Center

The Towson University Asian Arts and Culture Center promotes intercultural exchange by offering a wide range of Asia-focused artistic and cultural encounters on campus and in the surrounding area. Our efforts aim to broaden understanding of global cultures, challenge stereotypes, enhance cultural competence, and provide insight into creativity and the human condition.

Muslim Student Association (MSA)

MSA aims to support Muslim students on the campus and provide comprehensive communities, and offers various activities and events to promote recognition, education, and cultural exchange of Islam. Each branch of MSA usually plans social gathering, religious events, community service projects, and educational programs to promote interaction and understanding between Muslim students and a wider campus community. MSA has called for local communities to participate in inte r-religious dialogue and partnerships to promote the understanding and cooperation between students with different religious backgrounds.

South Asian Student Association (SASA)

The South Asian Student Association (SASA) is an organization operated by students, especially in areas with many South Asian students. SASA usually aims to create a platform for students from Southern Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, celebrating each culture and sharing experience.

The Association frequently holds a variety of cultural, social and educational events, such as traditional dance performances, food festivals, language courses, and discussions on current affairs that affect South Asia. These activities are not only helpful in preserving and spreading South Asian culture, but also provides opportunities for cultural exchange and intercultural understanding between students with different backgrounds.

In addition, SASA can cooperate with other student groups, invite speakers, and participate in the local community to increase the recognition inside and outside the campus on the culture and problems of South Asian asian Asian cultures and problems.
