The Kindred are sometimes misidentified by humans and xenos races as criminals or other species that they are not. For example, the Kindred are incorrectly referred to as "Demiurg" by both Toau and humans, "Archaeologists of Helios" by the Aeldari, and "Gnostari", "Gloam", "Klegg" by various other peoples.
The Imperium classifies the Kindred as either a human-recognized abhuman subspecies or a xenos species.
