Microgaming Signs Distribution Deal with Inspired Entertainment

Microgaming has signed a distribution agreement with UK-based Game Technology Company that will see Inspired launch a selection of premium slots on Microgaming's content aggregation platform.

Initially, Inspired will distribute 20 of its most popular online slot titles through Microgaming's platform, including top-performing titles Anubis Wild Megaways, Prison Break and Stacked Fire 7s.

Affiliates welcome dynamic pairing of iGB Affiliate Awards with iGB L!VE in London

With the transition of IGB L! VE to be held in London in July 2025, Clarion Gaming has decided to co-locate its world championship IGB Affiliate Awards with the London Expo.

The decision has been made to hold the Awards as part of IGB L. VE!

Richard Moffatt, Managing Director of OLBG, the UK's leading sports betting subsidiary, shared the industry's view: "We are delighted to hear that the IGB Affiliate Awards will remain in London and run alongside IGB L! Novomatic Netherlands Appoints Alexander Legat as CEO

Novamatic Netherlands has appointed Alexander Legat as CEO.

Legat replaces Zane Mersich, who has moved to the company’s supervisory board.

With Legat’s appointment, Novomatic Netherlands’ management team will be strengthened by 20 years of legal and managerial experience in the gaming industry.

Legat will also bring to his new role the knowledge he gained at Novomatic’s Austrian subsidiary.

The Importance of ESG in iGaming

The environment, society, and governance (ESG) elements are important indicators of corporate ethical positions and lon g-term sustainability. In an industry where profits and responsibilities are delicate, like Igaming, ESG indicators are essential. BWC has launched a comprehensive review of 21 major casinos and sportsbook operators to evaluate ESG performance. Our goal is to provide players with clear and reliable information about which brands are committed to ethical practices and which is a shortage.

Key Findings from Our ESG Assessment

Our survey focuses on four important fields:

Transparency: We investigated how open the company discloses its ownership, operation, and ESG efforts. Transparency is the basis of accountability. The survey reveals that there is a large gap between listed companies and no n-listed companies. Listed companies generally have a highly transparent score due to regulation requirements, but most of the no n-listed companies do not provide information.

ESG Plan and Report: The ESG plan of a company that is specifically considering responsible gambling and the ESG plan of a company that straddles the general elements of the environment, society, and the government. Many companies have issued statements about responsible gaming and sustainability, but few companies provide specific data or set measurable goals.

Compliance: Compliance with regulations in areas such as marketing, privacy, security, antitrust (AML) and player protection is non-negotiable. Our research shows that all companies have faced some form of regulatory action in the past, to varying degrees. This highlights the ongoing challenge of balancing profitability with legal and ethical obligations.

Third-Party Data To get a broader perspective, we also looked at third-party reviews such as Glassdoor and CSRHub. We found that while these sources provide valuable insights, they can sometimes lack consistency or depth. However, CSRHUB data provided a useful benchmark, especially for companies that are difficult to evaluate.

Promoting Ethical Brands

After months of research, BWC identified 10 of the original 21 companies that met our minimum standards for transparency, ESG performance and compliance. These companies will be featured on BWC’s platform, where players can learn more about their commitment to responsible gaming, environmental sustainability and social justice.

But our work doesn’t stop here. We are committed to continually improving our evaluation methodology and expanding our survey to include more operators and investigate more deeply. Our goal is to set a benchmark for ethical practices in the igaming industry and hold companies accountable for their actions.

The main motivation for our research is player power. In an industry where user experience is often homogenous, with most casinos offering the same games, payment methods and bonuses, players can make a real difference by choosing to support brands that align with their values.
