CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada and its casinos stopped requiring masks in public Thursday.

Democratic Gov. Steve Sysolak announced he would no longer require masks in most places.

But he left the school rules in effect until the end of the day to prevent students from removing them during class.

"Starting tomorrow morning, masks will no longer be required for students, teachers or staff," the governor said.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board immediately took action with an order to lift face-covering rules in casinos "unless local jurisdictions continue to impose such requirements."

The governor said places where masks could be required in Nevada include hospitals, doctor's offices, long-term care facilities, airports, airplanes, public buses and school buses. Masks would no longer be required in prisons or correctional facilities.

Sisolak, who is seeking re-election in November, has stepped up pressure to ease restrictions. He acknowledged that opinion is divided on mask mandates, but said employers and school districts can set their own policies.

Republican members, who have been running as Sisolak's opposition horse, are gathering supporters by criticizing Nevada's virus reactions and mask rules.

"Some of the reporters think that we have been ready for a long time, while others think that they have been ready for a long time. "I feel that it is an appropriate time to move forward."

He pointed out that the crow n-infected person in Nevada is sharply decreasing from the peak in mi d-January. However, the spread of viruses in Nevada far exceeds the positive rate per 100, 000 population and the standard value of new infections set by the Federal Disease Prevention Management Center.

According to Sisolak, newly infected states pointed out on January 10 that tw o-thirds of Nevada people aged 5 and over were vaccination, and states are federal governments. He said that the Coronavirus Relief Fund was spending a 19 million dollar to respond to the COVID-19 test kit and the possibility of obtaining treatments.

In Japan, the number of patients and inpatients due to COVID-19 fell significantly after peaking earlier this year, when mutant Omiclon with strong infectious power spread. Most Americans are protected from serious illness by effective vaccines and boosters.

However, the US Disease Prevention Management Center continues to use masks indoors in the virus's "substantial or high infection rate".

Sisolak was revived in the state of the state's first emergency order, which was first issued in July 2020 in July last year, and revived the mask of masks as the number of delt a-type viruses increased rapidly. The rules obliged people in the county, with high COVID-19 infection rates, to wear indoor masks along the CDC guidelines.

Sisolak stated that a new presidential decree signed on Thursday would no longer detain the CDC guidelines.

"I want to make it clear, but the emergency is not over." Pandemic is not over. We still have many infected, many hospitalized, and many deaths. " "

"I'm optimistic, I'm convinced that we can solve this problem and give freedom to the people based on the data we have. Everyone wants to return to normal life. In other words, I think it's time for two years. "

State Health Authorities had 3. 2 million people in Nevada and 9. 311, since the first report of Cobid-19 infected people on March 16, 2020.

At that time, Sisolak closed many businesses with casinos until early June 2020 to prevent the gathering and spread of viruses. The unemployment rate has surged to more than 30 %. The hotel reservation stopped. The impact on the state economy is still continuing.

Nevada is greatly dependent on sightseeing, hotel reservations, entertainment and gambling. Las Vegas has more than 150, 000 hotels, and casino taxes have contributed to the state budget after sales tax. Nevada has no personal income tax.

The State Branch of the National Federation of Independent Business (the National Federation of Independent Business) told Sisolak that masking is making it difficult to maintain small and mediu m-sized enterprises. According to analysis by the US Chamber of Commerce, the "retirement" rate of silver states was the highest in the United States last year, 3. 8 %.

"Many people question the effects of stopping the spread of COVID, but two years later, the number of people who refuse to wear masks is increasing.

Sisolak said that, as some other states did, did not give up on wearing masks only for those who proved vaccination. "

You will have the forefront workers who have to ask, "Did you get vaccinated?" I think it's unfair to people. "

Sisolak took action shortly after the New York, Illinois, and California officials maintained the rules for students, but in these states that they planned to abolish indoor masks.

In Las Vegas, the fifth largest school district administrator in the United States issued a statement to cancel the rules of masks for teachers and students on the campus following Sisolak's presentation, but wearing a mask in the school bus. The duty has been maintained.

"Because the COVID-19 is continuing, students and staff (in the Clark County School District) can individually choose to keep wearing masks," said a statement.
