About The Star Entertainment Group Ltd
Star Entertainment Group (ASX: SGR) operates three hotels and casinos in Australia. These are STAR SYDNEY (Casino license until 2093, electronic game console monopoly until 2041), STAR GOLD COAST (permanent license), and Treasury Casino and Hotel in Brisben (until 2070).
The Joint Venture Development of Blisbane's QUEEN'S Group has built a new casino with a 9 9-year license (and a 2 5-year monopoly period) and will be completed in late 2023. The new casino is replaced by a casino and a hotel reused as a hotel and retail site.
In 2022, Star Entertainment Group was found to be not qualified to hold a casino license in both New Southwales and Queensland. The company was fined by $ 100 million from the provinces, and a new director was appointed to supervise the operation of STAR to conform to regulatory standards. Sydney's casino license has been suspended, and the 9 0-day suspension has been postponed in Queensland until December 2023.
