The evolution in the main game follows the evolution of the first generation games and its iterations very closely.
- This guide follows the classic mode in standard mode with normal fusion.
Journey’s Beginning [ ]
- For more information, see Palette City.
In the player's bedroom, there is a laptop to extract potions that will help in the first battle with an opponent. On the main floor, the player's mother gives him a letter stating that the Pokemon League has accepted his trainer application, as well as his trainer card. Finally, he can choose the name of his opponent here.
When he goes outside, his opponent will give him a message saying that he will also join. The opponent tells the player that he has defeated the other and that Professor Oak will be giving him a Pokémon when he returns from Viridian City. Once the opponent leaves, head north towards the long grass where Oak will stop and guide the player to his lab to choose a starter Pokémon.
The opponent will choose the remaining starter and fuse it. Before the player can leave Professor Oak's lab, the opponent will challenge the player to a battle.
After the battle, Oak will ask the player to pick up a package at the PokéMart in Viridian City. As the final step before leaving Pallet Town, visit the opponent's house and speak with his sister to obtain a map. The opponent's mother will also give the player the option to change their name.
Route 1The path to Viridian Town starts from Route 1, north of Pallet Town. Interacting with the PokéMart clerk will give you a potion. You can also interact with Las Mimi to battle Pidgey. Finally, you can find an Oran Berry in the tall grass west of Mimi.
Viridian TownThe first thing you should do is go to a PokeCenter to get healed. Your next destination is the PokeMart, where you can get Oak's package and a free DNA Splicer. The northern path is blocked by a drunk old man until you deliver the package to Oak in Pallet City.
The southern path to Pallet Town is faster, as you can jump down the steep rock steps and avoid most of the tall grass. You can heal your Pokemon at any time by interacting with the player's mother. Delivering Oak's package unlocks five Pokeballs and a Pokedex, as well as the northern path to Viridian Town. Before you leave, Oak's assistant man will give you two Pokeballs.
Boulder Badge [ ]
- See Path 1 for more information.
On your way back to Viridian Town, it's a good idea to record Pokemon such as Rattata, Pidgey, and Foooo. Wild encounters vary depending on how long you've been in the game.
- See Viridian City for more information.
At the PokéCenter in Viridian City, a young man is trying to trade his Bellsprout for a Spearow that can be obtained on Route 22. The PokéMart will also open, allowing players to purchase items such as Pokéballs, potions, and DNA pads. In addition, if you close and reopen the game even once with an existing save file, you will receive a Pyukumuku.
The Vermilion Gym is closed because no Gym Leader has been seen for a long time. Players have no choice but to head to a new gym to get their badges.
- See Route 22 for more information.
To the west of Viridian City is Route 22. Although optional, it is highly recommended to battle an opponent here to unlock the Secret Garden.
Here, you can battle two new Pokémon. You will also find two potions and a becha berry, and in the tall grass you will get an extra Pokémon that will be useful in later sections. There are also berry bushes in this section, which you can interact with every day of the game. When the player attempts to enter the Pokémon League portal, they are stopped by Brock, the gym leader of Pewter City, who explains that they must first collect eight badges.
- See Secret Garden for more details.
This module is an option, but you can get a lot of rewards. Before you get the first badge, you can't unlock unless you defeat your Route 22 opponent. After that, if the player wants, it can be accessed at any time. You can get 6 potions, 4 revibers, 1 super potion, and 1 Max Ri Vibe, and add Pokémon that you can get much later than usual. The entrance is to walk to a specific tile next south of Route 1 Viligian Town next to the wooden wall.
Route 2 (in front of the forest)
- See Route 2 (in front of the forest) for details.
Since the old man is gone, the northern road to Route 2 can be used. There are several long grass on this short road, the southern end of the Vilisian forest.
- See the Vilisian Forest for details.
Bug Pokemon inhabits and can fight several trainers in this section. After fighting, some trainers will exchange Pokemon, while others apply for a rematch. If you recreate with the same trainer, your opponent's Pokémon may be leveled up and evolve every few battles, so you have more experience.
In addition, there are many items that can be collected, such as three pecha nut hidden behind the potion on the west side of the forest.
In addition, mushrooms and spiders can be touched every day in the game, but random items can be obtained or wild encounters with Pallas and Spinarack. The free pass proceeds counterclockwise and the exit is located in the west.

Most cities will be able to use some functions.
- First, Poke Center has a second floor, providing three options to players:
- Reminder: Just paying a small price can remind you of the Pokemon that you missed during your level.
- Wonder Trade: You can trade and get a new Pokemon by purchasing a ticket or using the already obtained ticket.
- Update Man: You can fix bugs and edit the game settings. This should only be done by experienced players.
- On the first floor, players can help you catch strange Pokemon, and you can pay a small amount to change your day.

This gym has two trainers, one of whom can be ignored but gives good experience and income to the player.
Gym Leader Battles are a bit different as they determine how many Pokemon the player can use. In Brock Battles, the number of Pokemon on a team is limited to two, and a team roster is required from the player when challenging.
Defeating Brock will give you the Boulder Badge, TM39 Rock Tomb, and Wonder Trader Ticket. Finally, talk to the hiker in front of the museum to get the Black Flute.

- When you defeat the opponent, both the opponent and the player hear the voice, and you notice that the missile team is catching Fuji at the top of the tower. Unfortunately, the player has no choice but to go to Seradon City and get Sylphscope.
- When trying to climb the tower, the ghost chases. In the 4th floor ladder, Gengar chases to the 2nd floor and cannot climb any more.
See Route 8 for details.
- In Route 8 in the west of Lavender City, many trainers challenge the battle. The terminal on the west side to Saffran City is also blocked by the team rocket Grantz, but fortunately there is an underpass.
See the underground passage for details.
- Many hints are hidden in this tunnel.
See Route 7 for details.
- The exit of the underground passage is on Route 7 and is right next to Seradon City. There are several trainers on the east side with some trainers, and the terminal to Saffran City has a team rocket grant again.
Painter Maya wants to exchange his jigly and her grass type and fair y-type Pokemon.
- See Seradon City for details.
- In this city, there are regular accommodations such as tw o-story Poke Center, Pokemart, and hotels. In addition, Seradon has the following:
At Poke Center, there is a man who wants to exchange Ponita and Richu.
In the home on the left of the Poke Center, competition with accidental fusion in the trash can.
- A man who wants to exchange electric and Eevee, the second left of the Poke Center.
- In the second home from the right of the department store, there is a developer and you can read the computer name.
- ( * * * * Watch out for streakers! * * * *)
He has the ability to capture all 470 basic Pokemon. On the roof is a mini quest where you can get Eevee for free.
In the house to the left of the department store, there are three collectors who will buy rare bones, large nuggets, and pearl strings at a higher price than the Pokémart.
- The house to the right of the hotel is a cafe, which serves as a front business for Team Rocket.
In the daytime cafe, there is a gentleman who gives out coin purses, a cool trainer who will give you a Carbo if you defeat him, and Miguel the super geek who will give you a petrified Carbo if you win.In the nighttime cafe, there is a black market for Team Rocket to buy stolen Pokémon. Buying Pokémon from Team Rocket will reduce your karma.
See Karma and the Celadon City Black Market for more information.
See Route 16 for more information.
To the west of Celadon City is Route 16. The path is blocked by a sleeping Snorlax, but the player can visit the house, go through the long grass path, and receive a HM02 Fly from the master. There is also a Leprechaun Berry hidden in the trash can.
If you teach your Pokémon to turn and have the Thunder Badge, you can travel quickly to a town or PokéCenter you have previously visited. It serves as a sort of fast travel in this game. It is an alternative to teleportation, serving the same purpose as the overworld, but offering different battle options.
Soul Badge [ ]
To the left of the house is a hidden entrance to the Secret Forest.See Secret Forest for more details.
- This section is optional, but there are nuggets and rare candies on the ground, and Pokémon can be caught. The southern path leads to the Viridian River, but without surfing there is nothing to do yet.
See Celadon Sewers for more details.Back in Celadon, the gym is locked, but there are sewers nearby, where an opponent and Team Missile are battling. When the player barges in, Team Rocket hide in the sewers, and the opponent blames the player and leaves. After the commotion, Erica comes to investigate, and when the player tells her that Fuji-san has been kidnapped, Erica asks the player to cooperate and follow Team Rocket into the sewers. While in the sewers, Erica will heal the player's Pokémon after each battle, and they battle in a 2v2 setting.
- Like Mount Moon, Team Rocket Grunts' team is primarily composed of Zubat, Ekan, Rattata, Koffing, and Grimmer. Most battles with Erica are quick: she always uses Weepetintella first, and often uses Razor Leaf.
There is also a weird visual issue where Erika moves too fast and disappears off the screen. This can happen if you change floors with stairs or load a save file while in the sewers.
The puzzles in the sewers involve raising and lowering the water level and building a bridge with large wooden planks. When climbing a ladder, the computer can raise or lower the water level. If you walk on a large hanging wooden plank when the water level is low, the wooden plank will fall and a new bridge will be built for the player when the water level rises.
Completing the puzzles in the sewers allows the player to get a lot of items. For those on higher ground, one in particular requires the water to be raised and the wooden plank to be crossed, and the other requires the water to be lowered to climb the stairs. For those on lower ground, the water must always be lowered.
From the lower ground there is an Ultra Ball, TM34 Silt Wave, and PP Up.
- From the higher ground there is a Super Excluder, Full Revive, and Antidote when the water is lowered.
For the black mud, you must raise the water and cross several floating wooden planks.
At the end of the sewers is the hideout of Celadon's missile team. The player and Erica are separated at a fork in the road. No matter which path you choose, there will be arrow tiles, and the player will have to go in that direction. The west building has a large ball, resurrection, elixir, full recovery, and iron. The east building has resurrection, elixir, and full heal. After clearing the arrow maze, Giovanni is waiting in the last room and challenges the player to a fight.
After defeating Giovanni, Erica returns to the gym and challenges the player to a fight, with the Rainbow Badge and the field that Sylph can take as a bet. In the back room, there is a notebook with a hint to the goal.
- There are items left in the room where Erica went, so feel free to get them. After opening the door to Celadon's gym and obtaining the Sylph Scope, the player can choose to prioritize either obtaining the badge or helping Fuji-san. Also, the Gatekeepers/Team Rocket at each terminal in Saffron City no longer receive taxes and will challenge the player to a fight. Winning any of the towers will grant access to Saffron City.

- The gym in the city is the fourth goal for completing the trainer's card. If you win the leader Erica, you can get Rainbow Badge and TM and proceed to the main story.

When the polyjigon approaches the entrance, when dialogue with the polyjigon from the north, it leaves the cyber space.

The entrance of the cave appears next to the bell, where the Reaper cloth is falling on the ground.

- After defeating Giovanni, Zapmolcuno is overcome and the three legendary birds leave. After Team Rocket leaves, Moltres returns to his throne and captures the player. As the player leaves, the opponent and the crew of the Seagallop Ferry salute the player. The opponent wants to take control of an old abandoned gym in Viridian City, and the crew gives the player a Seagallop Pass. Once players have obtained all eight badges, they are free to go to the Pokémon League and challenge the Elite Four, the ultimate goal of a Trainer Card.
Route 22
- On the way to the Pokémon League gate, opponents will challenge you again.
Route 26, Route 27
- When you show all eight badges to the guard at the gate, you will arrive at Route 26. There are two obstacles on the way to the Pokémon League, the first obstacle is to cross both routes to reach the Victory Road Gate. Since it is on high ground, players have no choice but to detour from Route 27. There are two trainers on the bridge, and defeating the fisherman will give you a Heart Scale.
- Route 27 is a path with a bridge and a small island for surfing. You can fight a total of eight trainers and get a TM30 Shadow Ball, Star Fragment, and Rare Candy. Going west will take you to Tojo Falls, but you cannot explore it without the waterfall. Instead, the eastern path leads to a staircase halfway up the cliff. This path eventually leads back to Route 26, but on higher ground.
- See Route 27 for more details.
The path continues through the forest and up the mountain to the Pokémon League Gate. Fight six more trainers to get an Elixir, TM02 Dragon Claw, and a Full Heal. Near the base of the mountain is a VR, where an old woman will let you rest for free.See Route 26 for more details.
Upon reaching the Pokémon League Gate, you will find an employee where you can buy or trade items, as well as a healing station to heal the player's Pokémon. A guard to the west will block access to Mount Silver.
See Victory Road for more details.
The second challenge is beyond the gate, where a maze of caves awaits the player. To increase the difficulty, the player must push a rock into a switch in a recess to open a passage containing trainers and wild Pokémon.
On the first floor, push the rock from the southwest corner to the southeast corner. This will open the path to higher ground, allowing you to access the northern section. Near the northeast corner, there is a place for trainers to fight, as well as a Rare Candy and TM52 Focus Blast. The ladder to 2F is in the northwest corner.
On the 2nd floor, there are rocks to be pressed in the southwest corner in addition to the complete ground processing. Because it is easy to be sandwiched between rocks, the ladder can be used as a reset. When the conversion is switched on the switch, the route to the eastern section opens. There are some items to be obtained, such as maximum potions, resuscitation, TM82 dragon tails, another recovery, total recovery, substitute for TM90, etc. There are two stairs to the 3rd floor, and one has a high terrain, so it can only be reached when the 3rd floor boulder falls to the 2nd floor.
Professor Elm [ ]
- On the 3rd floor, there are three trainers on the north side, such as TM74 gyroballs and max ryers, so they fight. Pressing a rock from the northeast to northwest to open the south side. There are stairs, there is an optional section that returns to the 2nd floor, with a trainer, a sword dancer TM75, guard specifications, and a legendary Pokemon "Entai".
Returning to the 3rd floor, you have to fight two more trainers on the south side. Players can fall into the hole, but in that case they have to be near the switch. Once you find a cobblestone, you have to open the aisle to a nearby ladder.
- There are two more trainers in the southeastern part of the 3rd floor, blocking the last ladder. The exit to the 2nd floor Indigo Kogen has only 12 steps.
See the indigo plateau for details.
- Indigo Store is the home of the Pokemon League. It is a straight road from Victory Street to the lobby. There are employees who sell items, nurses to heal parties, remind drives and updates.

Breaks at the Poke Center and replacement of Pokemon in the warehouse are prohibited, and if all players leave or all Pokemon is knocked out, the challenge must be r e-challenge. Between battles, recovery items stock, state abnormal recovery, resuscitation, etc. are performed. Like the gym leader, the type that is good at different members is different, so we recommend a team that can cover the attack surface.
- See elitefour for details.
- When you defeat your opponent, a professor oak appears. He intends to celebrate his opponent, but describes him and blesss the player. He guides her to the Hall of Fame and records his Pokemon and his success. And the credit flows.

When the player reports the situation to the Kurt, the old man gives the HM06 dive, jumps into the well in a slow position, and tries to save the town.
