North America

U.S.

From June 12, travelers who enter the United States by air will no longer need to present their negative results in the COVID-19 test within one day after flight. However, when entering the United States, all no n-citizens and no n-residents must present a complete vaccination certificate.

Mexico

Mexico has never required testing for entry and has lifted most coronavirus restrictions.

Travelers entering Mexico by land may be subject to health screenings, including temperature checks, according to the US Embassy in Mexico. Travelers may experience significant delays and be returned to the United States or quarantined in Mexico.

Increased crime against tourists in Cancun and the Riviera Maya led the U. S. Consulate General in Mérida to issue a security warning in January 2022 against Americans seeking skinship in the area. Crime is high in many parts of Mexico. The U. S. Consulate has classified Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas as "no travel" states.

The U. S.-Mexico land border reopened on November 8, 2021, allowing vaccinated travelers to again enter the U. S. from Mexico by land. Proof of vaccination is not required for U. S. citizens, but vaccination is mandatory for foreign travelers.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, an unincorporated U. S. territory, is open to all foreign travelers, but non-U. S. citizens or permanent residents must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

As of March 10, domestic travelers (US citizens and residents), vaccinated or not, are no longer required to show proof of a negative pre-travel Covid-19 test result to enter Puerto Rico.

International travelers must be fully vaccinated. But the US rule requiring all people entering by air to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test the day before entering ended on June 12.

All capacity restrictions have ended. Masks are no longer needed indoors, but are recommended if the status of public transportation or vaccination is not guaranteed. U.S. Virgin Islands

Aruba

On March 19, Alba has no need to ease the COVID-19 test requirements and prove that it is proof of vaccination or negative when entering the country. Bermuda

British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands officially opened to tourism on December 1, 2020, and as of July 15, 2022, unvaccinated travelers are no longer required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. Proof of valid health insurance in the British Virgin Islands is also no longer required.

Cayman Islands

As of August 24, there are no longer any COVID-19 protocols for all travelers, vaccinated or not, to enter the Cayman Islands and be approved through the Cayman Travel Portal. Learn more here.

The Cayman Islands had been welcoming fully vaccinated travelers since entering Phase 5 of reopening on January 20.

Cuba

Cuba began accepting foreign tourists on November 15, 2021, and as of April 6, 2022, does not require a Covid-19 negative test or full vaccination certificate for entry. Tourists are not required to undergo quarantine, but must have valid medical insurance in Cuba and complete a health declaration form before traveling.

The US State Department has issued a Level 2: Increased Vigilance advisory for Cuba. This policy restricts US travel to Cuba to more than just Covid-19. Longstanding travel restrictions were tightened by the US government in late 2019, eliminating many of the reasons that allowed US citizens to visit Cuba in recent years. There are several additional restrictions for US travelers visiting Cuba that are not related to the pandemic and remain in effect. Curacao reopened to U. S. travelers in November 2020. Dominica opened to travelers on August 3, 2020, and as of August 22, all Covid-19 related entry protocols were eliminated. Travelers are no longer required to complete a pre-travel questionnaire or present proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test result.

Dominica

The Dominican Republic reopened on July 1, 2020, and all travelers may visit without pre-travel Covid-19 entry requirements.

Dominican Republic

As of April 23, travelers are no longer required to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test result upon entry, and may be randomly tested at the airport. Mask use in public and social exclusion measures are now at the individual's discretion. Check here for the latest information.

All travelers must complete and submit an electronic entry form (both to and from the Dominican Republic) to declare that they have not experienced any symptoms related to COVID-19 within the past 72 hours and provide contact information for the next 30 days.

Grenada

Grenada began reopening to international tourists on August 1, 2020, with strict protocols including quarantine for all visitors. However, as of April 4, 2022, Grenada lifted all entry requirements and COVID-19-related restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers.

Haiti

Europe
